Now that Last.fm is restricted in most countries, the obvious alternative (already discussed in previous posts) was to start offering support for similar services for people that cannot / don’t want to use Last.fm anymore.
So here is Vagalume with support for Libre.fm:
(this is not ready yet, but expect a new release in a few days/weeks)

This is great news and look forward to being able to use another music service! Also, I know many are disappointed with last.fm, but if you enjoy you should support them too. It’s pretty cheap considering all you get.
Thank you for your work, this is a much needed app.
“…the obvious alternative was to start offering support for similar services…”
is Jamendo one of the services?
you rock berto – thanks 🙂
Libre.fm is an exquisite choice. If you wanna migrate your audioscrobbler data from last.fm have a look here: http://ideas.libre.fm/index.php/Using_lastscrape
I just signed up to Libre.fm, although I’m happy with Last.fm.
Well, it must me good if it’s coming to Alberto’s Vagalume!! 🙂
Thanks!
Manu: currently libre.fm streams some music from Jamendo, so in a way we’re adding support for Jamendo, yes 🙂
