Want to download videos from YouTube?.
You can get a shell script from my webpage.
Videos are stored in FLV format, that can
be played with many programs such as MPlayer.

I downloaded the Mplayer file.. but i can’t open it by any of the programs i have….plz advice

My script downloads videos in FLV format. You need a media player that supports FLV files.
There’s a number of programs you can use to open this kind of files (MPlayer is not the only one, but it’s the one I use the most), in this Wikipedia page you can see a comprehensive list:
