About me
Once upon a time, in a far far away kingdom… umm… well, maybe not a so “far far away kingdom”… even not a kingdom either. Nevermind, time and place seems not to be important at this description, so I’m going to describe myself as who I am now, regardless of who I was some time ago.
My name is Mario Sánchez Prada, and I’m a worker at Igalia, a Free Software Engineering company which is currently located at A Coruña and Vigo, two amazing cities from a very nice region of Spain called Galicia.
Nowadays my current work is focused on (free) software development based on Gnome technologies, such as Maemo: a Free Software application development platform for handheld devices developed and published by NOKIA.
On the other hand, I’m also spending some weekly hours with some Igalia people in Gnome hacking (mostly based on GTK+), since I think Gnome is a great desktop environment and I really enjoy working in these kind of tasks. I like these hacking sessions because I can learn a lot about Gnome while we try to get some useful stuff for the free software community.
At last, as a more personal view about me (apart from computation world), I must say I love music, animals, travelling, meeting new people, playing guitar, performing diabolo tricks, talking about several issues, watching movies, going out with my friends and, of course… my girlfriend
