		<description>paul, Vagalume should only ask for username and password when they&#039;re not defined. Then it should try to connect in all cases, and if the settings are wrong it should display an error dialog.

Are your username and password unusually short or long or do they have any special character other than ascii letters, numbers or underscores ?
