the not so virtuous cycle
Today I talked to a good friend of mine interested in open source projects modelling about the “virtuous cycle” model and the source code commons concept. Those ideas fulfill the Sun’s approach to Open Source and its balanced three components triangle (licenses, business models and governance).
As I promised him I’m attaching with this post my extended virtuous cycle version matching the environment where an enterprise releases a new and open product based on an existent and closed flagship product.
